In January, 2020 we held a fantastic class with ten terrific writing students.

 

We hoped to be able to go back in January, 2021, and then we hoped to go back in January, 2022, but....pandemic.

WRITE IN MEXICO

 January 7- 17, 2020

arrival January 7, workshop meets 8 mornings, January 8-15

$1750 includes:

  • daily workshop on a rooftop patio overlooking historic Oaxaca,

  • 10 nights in a four-star hotel,

  •  welcoming reception,

  • farewell reading and party

  •  two excursions outside of Oaxaca City

Each day, after morning workshop, your afternoons and evenings will be free for writing and for exploring Oaxaca --- known for its vibrant community of Mexican and international artists.

Airfare is not included.

Spouse or friend may join (without workshop) for a small additional fee.

 

The workshop will be led by Sarah Van Arsdale and Peter Bricklebank, who  have taught in Oaxaca and Morelia, and with Art Workshop International in Assisi, Italy; at Bar-Ilan University in Tel Aviv, and with the Northwest Institute of Literary Arts. Sarah Van Arsdale is the author of four books of fiction and a book-length poem. She currently teaches at New York University and in the Antioch University low-residency MFA program. Peter Bricklebank has been widely published, including in Fiction, Mid-American Review, and The New York Times Book Review. He currently teaches at Sarah Lawrence College, with the Hudson Valley Writers’ Center, and in the National University MFA program.
